FAQ
WHAT IS AN ADVENTURE PHOTOGRAPHER?
It is the act of photographing people on an adventure with stunning mountainscape/forest backdrops in the wild. My niche is photographing couples and families in the great outdoors.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes! Just message me anytime to setup a payment. All sessions must be paid in full before your session date.
ARE YOU LICENSED AND INSURED?
Yes! Absolutely! Licensed in the State of Washington and I have general liability insurance.
WHAT FORM OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Payments are taken via Square invoice after a contract is signed. Credit/Debit card. Let me know if you prefer cash.
In order to book your session, a non-refundable Retainer ($200 or $300 depending on package) is due after signing the contract to secure your session date. The remainder of payment is due the day before the photography session.
Services for the non-refundable retainer fee include but not limited to: planning, wardrobe consultation, location consultation, location scouting and holding booked date.
WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING PROCESS LIKE?
First, we go over pricing, availability and what you envision for your session. Next, I email you my contract and after electronically signing, I invoice you the non-refundable retainer fee. Once contract is signed and non-refundable retainer fee is received, you are all booked! Lastly, we go over locations and wardrobe consultation in detail.
WHAT IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER?
If it’s pouring rain and I cannot find a location with no pouring rain then we can reschedule. If the weather is just cloudy then there is no rescheduling for just cloudy weather. Note that some days clouds do block mountains but we can still make the session happen and be beautiful.
CAN I CHOOSE MY PHOTOS FROM THE SESSION?
Yes! My clients get to choose their photos before I edit them. This way you can make sure you’re receiving your favorite photos from the session.
Do you offer prints?
YES! Straight from your gallery you will be able to print professional quality photos, canvas art, wall art, wood frame, etc.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
The retainer is non-refundable. If you reschedule less than 14 days prior to the session date then $100 non-refundable reschedule fee is due.
WHAT IF I’M LATE?
Your time starts at the agreed upon time. If you are 30 minutes late then there is an additional $50 fee. If you are late and it is too dark for photos then you forfeit the session. Unfortunately, you would forfeit all payments received to the photographer, as I would end up losing money from your tardiness, since it would be too dark to shoot. Rescheduling in this instance would be up to the discretion of Wander and Wild Photography and would require another non-refundable retainer fee.
WHAT IF I WANT A DIFFERENT EDITING STYLE?
This shouldn’t be a problem. If you like, you can send me photos of the style you prefer during consultation on Fb messenger. Example editing styles: true to life, warm moody, muted tones, dark moody, etc.
DO YOU OFFER MINI SESSIONS?
I typically do not offer mini sessions because I prefer to spend quality time with each client to make the most out of their session. Mini sessions tend to be rushed and that's not how Wander and Wild operates.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY GALLERY?
I typically send out edited digital images 1-2 Weeks after your photo session. I typically have 1 session on Saturdays and another session on sundays. So, Monday - Friday I work on editing your photos. Usually photos are ready and delivered to your online gallery on Friday after your Saturday/Sunday session.
On the unlikely occasion a family emergency happens or extreme illness, the max amount of return date is 4 weeks.
WHAT IS LNT?
LNT are Leave No Trace principles that help benefit our environment to stay clean and protected. It is a form of stewardship to help our trails, parks, forests, etc. be in the best condition for future generations. As an adventure photographer who enjoys wild landscapes, I take LNT seriously. Take nothing but photos and leave nothing. Some examples of leave no trace during a photo session: no confetti, stay on trail, no rose petals and no smoke bombs. Items that leave messes and are hard to clean should stay out of parks.
WHAT SHOULD I BE PREPARED FOR?
Be prepared for some fun and an easy going session. Typically my sessions can last up to 1-2 hours. Especially with warming up the kids and helping them be excited during the session.
Expect mud here in North Carolina storm season, it is likely that your shoes will get dirty.
Expect some wind and wind blown hair. Not something that always happens but we will be outdoors.
Mosquitos might also be present in the summer months. Apply bug repellent and sunscreen.
PERMITS?
The client is responsible for acquiring all permits and necessary permission for all locations on which Wander and Wild Photography will be performing services.
ARE YOU LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY?
Yes! Absolutely I am.
ARE YOU PET FRIENDLY?
Yes, I love animals and consider them family. Only request that animals are well behaved and parents are kind to their pets.
